Inter do not consider Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi a target for next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 34-year-old is not high on the Nerazzurri’s list of targets in defense as they are more interested in several other players.

Inter are scrambling to sign a defender after missing out on priority target Bremer to Juventus, and there are several players on their radar.

Fenerbahce’s Kim Min-Jae is a player they admire but looks closer to Napoli, whilst Manuel Akanji is another player whose profile is considered an ideal but Borussia Dortmund’s €25 million price tag is an obstacle.

Atalanta’s Merih Demiral could also be a target, but given that La Dea paid Juventus €20 million to sign him permanently the Turk could be too expensive like Akanji, whilst another Atalanta player could be on their radar in the form of Berat Djimsiti.

Atletico Madrid’s Stevan Savic would be much more affordable, with the Serb likely to be available for around €5-6 million, and he would be preferred to Acerbi.

The Nerazzurri are also monitoring the likely exodus of outcast defenders from Paris Saint-Germain this summer as well, with Thilo Kehrer a possible target, and they are also considering Dan-Axel Zagadou on a free transfer now that the Frenchman’s contract with Dortmund has expired.
