Inter are waiting for the go-ahead from owners Suning to get a deal done for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri have lined up the 24-year-old as their Plan B option after missing out on Torino’s Bremer, but that the green light is still needed from Suning to invest €15-20 million in a fee for him.
Milenkovic has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for much of the summer and remains one of their main defensive targets now that they have definitively missed out on Bremer, who has made the switch to Juventus.
The Serb would cost around €15-20 million, and the club would be ready to quickly get a deal done with both the player and with La Viola to secure his signature.
Yesterday and today there have been contacts with both Milenkovic and his club to try and quickly arrive at an agreement.
However, as of yet the green light has not yet been given by the owners, and so for now they will wait until the green light arrives so that they can complete the deal.
