Lazio have offered departing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino a three-year contract worth a net of €2 million per season.

This according to Italian news outlet SportItalia, who report that the Biancocelesti have made the 30-year-old a key target and that he is close to making the move.

Vecino left Inter at the end of last month when his contract expired, the the Uruguayan not having been a part of the plans for next season and expected to depart when his contract expired for some time.

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is keen on the 30-year-old, with whom he worked when in charge of Empoli, as the capital club look to add reinforcements to their midfield ahead of the upcoming season.

Now, the Biancocelesti have made Vecino their formal offer, and the midfielder is considering it, and he is inclined to accept the offer so he could well be reunited with Sarri very soon.
