Inter defender Milan Skriniar is getting closer and closer to full fitness and he could even be available for the friendly against Lens this weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old is not yet at peak condition but that a call-up for this Saturday’s match against Lens cannot be totally ruled out.

Skriniar is back to fitness after working individually upon his return to training, though his condition is still not optimal and he has not completed a training session at full intensity.

The aim is to ensure that the Slovakian is at his best in time for the first match of the Serie A season, against Lecce on August 13.

Skriniar should be available for the friendly clash with Lyon at the end of the month and will take this opportunity to start getting playing time in his legs, but even against Lens he could be part of the squad.
