Inter could find themselves trying to sign a new left-back late on in the window if the fitness of Robin Gosens cannot be counted upon, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the German wingback suffered a muscle injury recently and it has led to fresh concerns that he may not be able to stay fit for the whole season like Ivan Perisic did last year.

There is no suggestion at all that Simone Inzaghi does not think that Robin Gosens has the quality to do what Ivan Perisic did, but he has struggled for consistent fitness for the past couple of seasons.

The Nerazzurri could end up looking for an extra body to have in that area of the squad or Matteo Darmian could find himself playing on the left much more often as completing another signing will be tough.
