Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has said that Alexis Sanchez is still an Inter player but the transfer market is open, according to a report in the Chilean media.
Speaking during an interview with En Cancha, via FCInternews, Javier Zanetti briefly discussed the current market situation for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez who Inter would like to offload.
He explained that the former Arsenal and Manchester United forward is training with the whole team rather than working in isolation elsewhere.
“Alexis has started the preseason with the team and is training with the entire squad.”
He then added that whilst the transfer window is open right now, the player belongs to Inter and presumably will be treated as such.
“The market is open, however, today he is still an Inter player.”
Alexis Sanchez appears to be one of the primary reasons that Inter were not able to get the Paulo Dybala over the line. Alexis Sanchez is one of the highest earners in the squad and he has one year left on his contract so they needed him off the books.
