Italian journalist Ivan Zazzaroni has said that Inter have no spending power after completing the loan deal for Romelu Lukaku, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Tutto Convocati, via FCInter1908, the editor of Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport explained that the Romelu Lukaku deal contributed to Inter not managing to get the Gleison Bremer deal over the line.

As he explains, Juventus were able to sell Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich sooner than Inter were able to sell Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint Germain.

That meant that the liquidity was available for the Bianconeri to instantly meet Torino’s asking price for Gleison Bremer and hijack Inter’s long and drawn out attempts to sign the defender.

“Inter did not take Bremer because Juve sold De Ligt before Skriniar. Bremer had been promised to Inter for months, but when Juve had the money, Zhang could not raise. Inter after Lukaku has no more spending power, they had to sell Skriniar. Allegri has a duty to win immediately.”

It is a deal that major affects Inter’s plans and they are now going to be offering a new contract to Milan Skriniar rather than forcing him out.
