Inter coach Simone Inzaghi used players in some different roles in the match against Novara and one of them was Alexis Sanchez, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the coach fielded two different elevens for the match against Novara which was behind closed doors as part of a joint training session.

Inter won the game 8-1 and there was two goals for Lautaro Martinez as well as goals for Nicolo Barella, Romelu Lukaku, Edin Dzeko and Raoul Bellanova.

Alexis Sanchez appeared to be used by Simone Inzaghi as a playmaker behind the striker pairing of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez during the second half which could suggest that he is preparing for the Chilean to stay at the club.

It is known that Inter do want to offload Alexis Sanchez as his wage is much higher than his contribution to the team, especially now that Romelu Lukaku has arrived.
