Inter want to keep the talks with Atalanta for striker Andrea Pinamonti completely separate from any talks regarding their interest in defender Merih Demiral.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio have indicated that they do not want the talks to be linked into any kind of player-plus-cash offer.
Atalanta have been pursuing Inter striker Pinamonti for some time, though they have not been able to get a deal over the line for the 23-year-old, who the Nerazzurri have valued at around €20 million.
Meanwhile, Demiral is one of the defender the Nerazzurri have started to seriously track after missing out on the signing of Torino’s Bremer to Juventus.
Both sets of talks remain ongoing, but as far as Marotta and Ausilio are concerned, they want any prospective deals for the two players to be kept completely separate, and see them as two distinct lines of negotiations.
