Italian journalist Massimo Marianella has said that Romelu Lukaku returning to Inter makes the difference in Italy and they now have the best strike pairing, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst in the Sky Sport studios, via FCInternews, Massimo Marianella spoke glowingly about both Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez who he thinks will be the strongest striker partnership in the league this season.

Talking specifically about the Belgian, he suggested that the move represents a major shift in the league that should put Inter back on top.

“The return of Lukaku makes the difference in Italy, he is a devastating striker when he is in condition and now he has the right motivation, he has shown that he really wants this shirt.”

He then explained that with the understanding that Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have together, they have to be viewed as the best strike partnership in the league.

“If Inter remain like this, with Lautaro Martinez and Lukaku in attack, I think that for understanding, goals and adaptability to each other, this is perhaps the best attacking pair in Italy.”

Romelu Lukaku rejoined Inter at the end of June on a loan deal from Chelsea for one season. He has already been very clear about the fact that he does not want to leave again.
