Sassuolo are ready to go head-to-head with Atalanta to sign Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti, and will move for him once they sell striker Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham United,

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Neroverdi would see Pinamonti as a like-for-like replacement for Scamacca and will step up their interest once the anticipated sale of Scamacca goes through.

Atalanta have been one of the foremost clubs pursuing Pinamonti, who has had no shortage of suitors following a strong campaign on loan with Empoli last season.

The Nerazzurri have put a €20 million price tag on the 23-year-old, whilst they would want a €30 million buyback clause inserted in the deal so that they do not permanently lose control of the striker’s future.

Talks are ongoing with La Dea, but Sassuolo are now ready to join the race for Pinamonti, as they will have the cash on hand to make Inter an offer once Scamacca is sold to West Ham.
