Chelsea are ready to join Manchester United in chasing Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the two Premier League sides could go head-to-head for the 26-year-old, who the Nerazzurri would be ready to consider offers of €40 million or higher for.

United have shown an interest in signing Dumfries to strengthen at fullback for new coach Erik ten Hag, while Chelsea have also asked about the player already during talks for Romelu Lukaku, and the Blues could reignite their interest.

The London-based club are weighing up an offer for Dumfries, who the Nerazzurri would not see as unsellable if the right offer comes along, particularly in view of the need to raise €60 million in net profit from the transfer market to meet financial goals.

The Nerazzurri value the Dutchman at around €60 million, and should the Blues come in with an offer that meets their asking price they would consider selling him.
