Inter will raise their contract extension offer to Milan Skriniar from the deal that they’d put forward in the spring in light of the amount that he was offered by Paris Saint-Germain.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will improve their €5 million net per season contract offer in response to the €9 million net per season that the French side were ready to offer, and could put the 27-year-old’s wages in line with their highest earners.

Inter had been ready to offer Skriniar a new deal during the spring, but then last month PSG came in with interest and it looked as though the Slovak defender could be sold rather than have his contract extended.

However, with the Parisians having failed to meet Inter’s asking price so far as well as the Nerazzurri’s missing out on Bremer to Juventus, it now looks like they will instead keep Skriniar in the team and extend his deal.

The wages will likely be higher than what had been offered during the spring however, with a view to the fact that he was ready to accept a much higher offer from PSG.

Inter will not reach what the French champions had been willing to offer the 27-year-old, but could raise their offer from the €5 million net per season offered in the spring to something like €6 million net per season, in line with top earners like Lautaro Martinez.
