Sassuolo are ready to step up in their pursuit of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti in the next few days after identifying him as a like-for-like replacement for Premier League-bound Gianluca Scamacca.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Neroverdi are ready to rival Atalanta and Monza for the 23-year-old after selling Scamacca to West Ham United.
So far Atalanta and newly-promoted Monza have been the two teams most keen on Pinamonti, whilst Salernitana have also been pursuing the striker, but no club has gotten a deal over the line for the 23-year-old.
This leaves things open for Sassuolo to move for him, and they will have the cash on hand following Scamacca’s sale as well as a serious interest in signing him.
During the next few days the Neroverdi will start to make their move for Pinamonti, and could get a deal done relatively quickly.
