Inter and Milan Skriniar are prepared to agree a new contract to keep the Slovakian at the club on wages of around €6 million net per season.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 27-year-old will be handed a new deal on wages that would put him in line with what Lautaro Martinez earns at the club.
Skriniar’s current contract is set to run out at the end of June 2023, but now it looks as though his future is at Inter as he is not likely to be sold to Paris Saint-Germain.
Accordingly, renewing the defender’s deal will be of utmost importance to the Nerazzurri for securing his long-term future, and for his part Skriniar is happy to do so as he wants to stay.
The player and the club are both in agreement on a new deal that will put him level with Martinez as one of the highest earners moving forward.
