Borussia Dortmund have identified Inter striker Edin Dzeko as a possible reinforcement in attack with new signing Sebastien Haller out as he receives treatment for testicular cancer.

This according to German broadcaster Sky Sports Deutschland, who report that the Bundesliga team are thinking about the 36-year-old as one of the possible options to bolster their attack following the surprise loss of Haller.

Dortmund purchased Haller from Ajax this summer, but the 28-year-old was unfortunately diagnosed with testicular cancer not very long after signing for them.

Accordingly, the Schwarzgelben will not be able to rely on the Ivorian for some time as he receives treatment for his cancer, and so they are looking at possible substitutes to be signed.

Dzeko has a similar profile to Haller and is on Dortmund’s radar, whilst there are three other players being considered in the form of Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauro Icardi, Hertha Berlin’s Krysztof Piatek, and Krasnodar’s Jhon Cordoba.
