Inter defender Milan Skriniar is set to make his preseason return to the pitch in this weekend’s friendly match against Lyon.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 27-year-old is fully recovered from the muscle injury that kept him out of the Nerazzurri’s first three friendlies of preseason and should be able to play, and possibly start, against the French side.

Skriniar returned to training still carrying a muscle problem which he had suffered while on international duty with Slovakia, picking up the knock during a Nations League clash with Kazakhstan.

The 27-year-old has been working individually, whilst his future has also been shrouded in uncertainty given the transfer links to Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks.

However, now Skriniar is fully recovered from the muscle problem and is considered to be ready to make his return to training as well as to the pitch, and so he will join his teammates in this Saturday’s friendly against Lyon.
