Sassuolo have made contact with the agents of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti, who would be willing to make the switch to the Neroverdi.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that there have been contacts between Neroverdi CEO Giovanni Carnevali and Pinamonti’s representatives, and that they are ready to overtake Atalanta as favourites for his signature.

Atalanta have been pushing to sign Pinamonti, but have been unable to get a deal done as they cannot meet Inter’s asking price for the 23-year-old without making sales.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo have all but completed the sale of striker Gianluca Scamacca to Premier League side West Ham United in a big money sale.

Accordingly, the Neroverdi are not lacking cash to sign a replacement for Scamacca and have set their sights on Pinamonti.

Sassuolo CEO Carnevali has already initiated the process of trying to sign the striker with his representatives, and the Emilian club are getting into pole position for his signature.
