Sassuolo have made Inter an initial offer of €15 million to sign striker Andrea Pinamonti.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Neroverdi have started the process of trying to sign the 23-year-old who they view as a replacement for West Ham United-bound Gianluca Scamacca.

So far Atalanta and Monza have been the two main clubs pursuing Pinamonti, but Sassuolo are now seriously entering the race for his signature having sold Scamacca to West Ham for a fee of €36 million plus add-ons.

The Emilians’ plan is to invest part of that fee in a bid for Pinamonti to try and beat out the interest of other teams in signing the 23-year-old.

To this end, the Neroverdi have already made contact with Inter, and the initial offer that they have put on the table is worth around €15 million, though it remains to be seen how Inter will respond.
