Inter will have to sell a player from their starting eleven sooner or later in order to meet financial goals, and the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Milan Skriniar, and Stefan de Vrij are among the main candidates.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri’s major challenge will be in deciding which player to sacrifice and then identifying a suitable replacement on a budget.

It is increasingly looking like Inter will go the summer without making a big name sale, as the possibilities of Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni were quickly rejected and Skriniar now looks like he could stay after all after a long chase by Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nerazzurri can postpone the big name sale until the start of next summer, as the cash influx must be brought in by the end of the fiscal year in June 0f 2023.

However, this would only be delaying the inevitable, and so the Slovakian could still very well be in the shop window, whilst Dutch duo Dumfries and de Vrij would be two of the other main names in the club’s of list of players who they would be prepared to sell.

Things will depend on the offers that come in for the top names in the squad, as well as on the decision of the club based on replacements that they can line up, but these three look to be the closest to the exit door at the moment.
