Legendary former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli believes that Milan Skriniar will stay at the club this summer but that a move to Paris Saint-Germain still cannot be entirely ruled out.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno in an interview published in today’s print edition, Altobelli predicted that while PSG are still lurking and could make a move, the Slovakian is likely to remain an Inter player.

Skriniar’s departure for PSG had at one point looked almost inevitable, but then the Parisians’ pursuit of him stalled while the Nerazzurri’s failure to sign Bremer from Torino meant that their stance changed.

Now, Inter are reluctant to sell the 27-year-old and expect a very high fee, whilst the French champions are not keen to meet their demands and look to have moved onto other targets.

Altobelli gave his thoughts on the situation, stating that “I expect that he’ll stay, but ee have to wait for the last month of the transfer window and see what Paris Saint-Germain will do because if they really decide to go and get a player, they will.
