Inter have made their asking price of €40 million for Denzel Dumfries clear as Chelsea start to think about a move for him.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri would be reluctant to lose the 26-year-old in the same summer that Ivan Perisic also left the club, but that they would consider offers of a certain size.

Chelsea had already asked for information about Dumfries during talks leading to the return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter, but the Nerazzurri had received them lukewarmly and the Blues did not press the matter.

However, the Dutchman remains a player on their radar and they could be ready to reignite their chase of him.

Inter have made their valuation of €40 or higher for Dumfries higher and Chelsea consider this to be excessively high, but it cannot be ruled out that the London club will decide to come back for him.
