Young Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian is very close to making the switch to Serie B side Reggina on a one-season loan move.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 19-year-old is on the verge of joining Filippo Inzaghi’s team for his first experience in senior football, with the two clubs being very close to agreeing a deal.

Fabbian was one of the standout performers from Inter’s Primavera team during the season just gone, helping them to win the Under-19 championship for the season.

At 19 and given the season that he had with the Primavera, Fabbian is considered to be ready for his first big steps into senior football, and Reggina are keen to bring him in to add quality to their midfield.

The Calabrian club are ready to get a deal done on loan for Fabbian, who will get his first regular minutes in the senior game under Filippo Inzaghi, brother of Nerazzurri coach Simone.
