Napoli have inquired about the availability of Inter forward Alexis Sanchez.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Partenopei have shown a tentative interest in the 33-year-old, who could consider them to be a suitable destination.

So far, Sanchez has not wished to leave Inter as none of the clubs who have come forward for him have convinced him as being the right footballing project for him.

The Chilean is lukewarm on the likes of Villarreal and Marseille and has outright rejected many teams, and he does not want to leave Inter before he has sorted out his future.

Napoli could represent a fresh possibility, with the Neapolitans having come forward with an interest in him although at this point it is not very well-defined.

Meanwhile, Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich is expected in Milan soon to try and finally get the forward’s departure sorted out on the basis of a severance payment of around €5 million.
