Salernitana will wait until the end of the current week for a response from Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti to their offer, and then turn to other targets in attack.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who also report that Sassuolo’s interest in the 23-year-old has cooled as they are more inclined towards moving for young Pisa forward Lorenzo Lucca.

Things are starting to heat up around Pinamonti, but he is not yet any closer to knowing where he will be playing his football next season than he has been for much of the summer, with numerous clubs still in the race

For his part, the striker is hoping for a move to Atalanta, but it remains to be seen if they will make a move for him or not, in which case he could have to settle for a club that is not his first choice.

Salernitana have made a contract offer, and have in fact reached an agreement with Inter at the Nerazzurri’s asking price, but Pinamonti is not yet convinced by the Campanians as a destination.

The Granata have set a deadline for the end of the current week for him to give his definitive response to their offer, as they do not want to wait around forever.

Lastly, Sassuolo have been considering Pinamonti as a possible like-for-like replacement for Gianluca Scamacca following the striker’s sale to West Ham United, but they have now turned their attention to Lucca instead.
