Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has made clear to newly-appointed Club Manager Riccardo Ferri what his role will be starting next season.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the former Nerazzurri defender will be assigned the task of representing the club to the squad and coach in training every day and help head coach Simone Inzaghi.
Ferri has officially been appointed in his role, with the former Nerazzurri defender having been identified as a candidate for the role already last summer but now officially taking over.
The former defender will have a similar job to Lele Oriali, who had worked alongside Antonio Conte for two seasons before departing last summer.
Oriali had helped Conte out with the day-to-day running of things on the training ground and had also acted as an intermediary between the coach, the players, and the interests of the club.
Ferri is set to have a similar role working alongside Inzaghi that Oriali did with Conte, with Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio believing that he is the right man to represent the club at the everyday level alongside Inzaghi.
