Inter’s Milan Skriniar is one of the players who Chelsea could turn to to strengthen their defense in the event that they are unable to sign Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

This according to UK tabloid the Daily Mail, who report that the 27-year-old is on the Blues’ list of possible defensive upgrades now that they are set to miss out on Sevilla defender Jules Kounde to Barcelona.

Chelsea are looking to sign one more defender this summer, and while Kounde is the number one target for them, the 23-year-old now looks to be on his way to Barcelona so they are looking for alternatives.

Leicester’s Fofana is another name high on their list and the player who the Blues are currently working hardest to sign, but in the event that they do not bring the Frenchman in, Skriniar would be one of the names they are prepared to turn to.

Alongside the Slovakian on Chelsea’s list are RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol and Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe.
