Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti feels that while Inter are looking solid in terms of the team they can put out on the pitch, there are significant doubts about them at the corporate level.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Sconcerti identified the Nerazzurri’s issues as being with the ownership and the long-term vision for the club.

When all is said and done Inter should head into the upcoming season with a squad strong enough to fight for their aims across all competitions, a coach who has already proven he is at the right level, and momentum.

However, the mood of the transfer window has been a tumultuous one, with several encouraging signings not enough to paper over the disappointment of missing out on targets like Bremer and Paulo Dybala or the worry that no big name player is safe from a sale to meet financial ends.

Sconcerti summarized the situation by stating that “Inter’s problem is not on the pitch, but but in terms of ownership. It’s a problem of perspective.”

“If Inzaghi has to play with four midfielders he’ll have to look for something more in the surrounding area but he has a great attack,” he added.
