Italian journalist Michele Criscitiello feels that the fact that Inter have not yet sold striker Andrea Pinamonti this summer is illustrative of the Nerazzurri’s struggles with their outgoing transfer market this summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, Criscitiello noted the fact that the Nerazzurri have not even cashed in on the 23-year-old yet despite the expectation that he will be sold, in a summer transfer window where making sales will be vital to meeting financial objectives.

Pinamonti has no shortage of interest both inside and outside of Italy off the back of a strong loan season with Empoli, with the likes of Atalanta, Monza, Salernitana, and Sassuolo all among the keenest teams following him.

The Nerazzurri could bring in a much-needed cash influx if and when they finally sell the 23-year-old, but at the moment they are still waiting to get him out the door.

“The Nerazzurri have to make a sale,” Criscitiello noted regarding the bind that Inter find themselves in, “but at the moment they can’t even sell Pinamonti.”
