Lazio Slap €5M Price Tag On Francesco Acerbi Who Inter Have Identified As Low-Cost Ranocchia Replacement, Italian Media Report

Lazio value defender Francesco Acerbi at around €5 million, with Inter starting to consider the 34-year-old as a possible replacement option for Andrea Ranocchia in defense.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri are looking at Acerbi as a low-cost solution to add depth to their defense and that Lazio President Claudio Lotito has been clear on the valuation for him.

Inter are set to sign one defender this summer, with the profile sought being an out-and-out central defender who can back up Stefan de Vrij at the heart of the back three following Ranocchia’s departure to join Monza on a free transfer.

Acerbi is one player on their radar, as the 34-year-old has already worked fruitfully with coach Simone Inzaghi for three seasons whilst Inzaghi was in charge of the Biancocelesti.

Should the Nerazzurri look to move for Acerbi in the coming week, the demands are clear, with Lotito and Lazio putting an asking price of €5 million on the experienced defender.
