Borussia Dortmund made an approach for Edin Dzeko recently but the Bosnian was clear that he wants to stay at Inter, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Manchester City has stayed true to his word all summer that he does not want to leave the Nerazzurri and he will reject advances for him.

He is fully aware that he is not a starting striker now that Romelu Lukaku has arrived but he knows that he can still offer a lot throughout the campaign even in his mid-30s.

There have been several clubs expressing interest in him, particularly whilst Inter were still trying to get a deal over the line for Paulo Dybala and needed forwards to leave the club.

Borussia Dortmund were one of those clubs but the Bundesliga side soon realised that he has no interest in leaving.
