Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has said that the dream of those at the club is to win the second star and he is convinced that they have a strong squad this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview with DAZN, via FCInternews, Beppe Marotta spoke confidently about Inter’s desire to win the title this season and their chances of doing so.
He stressed that everyone has to have the courage and the ambition to make it work if they are to snatch the crown back from AC Milan who won the league on the final day last season.
“The dream is to gift the second star to our fans, and dreams often become reality. You have to have the courage to turn dreams into something concrete, all in all it’s right to be ambitious when you set yourself sporting goals.”
One team that appear to have strengthened a lot this summer is Juventus and many believe that they could be the ones to win the title.
Beppe Marotta is in agreement that they are looking strong but he stressed that there are other teams in the picture too.
“Juventus is always a team that must be considered as favourites in every competition, they will be this year too. It will be up to us to counter it, they are certainly having a good summer.
“The measure of a team’s strength is made at the end of the market, we certainly look at home and we are sure that this is a competitive squad. We welcome the duels, but I would not put Juve alone: there is Milan, Roma and Napoli.”
