Inter president Steven Zhang is keen to make the needed €60 million of transfer profit this summer rather than waiting until January or June 2023, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the President is wary of meeting the economic targets that have been set sooner rather than later.

There is no denying that he is eager to win the Scudetto again after it was taken by AC Milan last season, but the economic side of proceedings is extremely important.

He is expecting at least one major sale so that the window can end with a transfer profit of at least €60 million but ideally nearer €80 million.

That figure can be found in either January or June 2023 but he would feel much safer if it was found this summer, as happened last season with the sales of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.
