Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji has not been included in the squad for the DFB Cup but Inter are in no hurry to make a move for him, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the Swiss defender has not been chosen by head coach Edin Terzic to be a part of the squad for their first DFB Cup of the season against 1860 Munich.

He has had very little involvement during the pre-season campaign because he has repeatedly turned down contract extensions and his current deal runs out in 2023. The club, therefore, would like to sell him and receive some money this summer.

Inter have been linked with him a lot but he would require a bit more money than Inter would ideally like to part with and therefore both the Nerazzurri and Manchester United are not yet in a rush to make a move for him.
