Inter forward Alexis Sanchez has opened up to the idea of signing for Marseille this summer and the French side want to close the deal by the end of the week, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chilean forward had been saying no to the advances of Marseille but now he is interested in making the move.

It was initially Jorge Sampaoli who wanted him but now new coach Igor Tudor has continued to advocate for the Chilean’s signature.

Talks between the Ligue 1 side and the player are ongoing, mostly about the salary. Part of that will be covered by the severance that Inter have to pay to break his contract, likely to be around €5 million.

Marseille are confident that they can close the deal by the end of the week or early next week.
