Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana could start in this evening’s friendly clash with Lyon.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Cameroonian could get the nod ahead of captain Samir Handanovic from the first half of today’s friendly match.

Onana has been working his way into Inter’s team during the preseason after making his move to the club on a free transfer from Ajax official at the beginning of the month.

The 26-year-old is set to compete for the starting spot in goal with captain Samir Handanovic for at least next season after the Slovenian extended his deal until the end of June 2023.

So far, it has been the captain who has started in the friendly matches, but Onana could get the start this evening.

Meanwhile, the trio of midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, defender Milan Skriniar, and wingback Robin Gosens are all anticipated to be available for this evening’s match after recovering from injuries.
