Inter-owned defender Lorenzo Pirola is pleased to be able to take his next step by joining Salernitana on loan for the upcoming season.
Posting on his Instagram account, the 20-year-old expressed his happiness at making the switch, where he will get his first regular experience in Serie A.
Pirola joins the Granata where he will look to prove his worth in the top flight by helping Davide Nicola’s team reach survival in their second season since promotion two seasons ago.
The 20-year-old has impressed with Monza and this next season could be an opportunity for him to further prove what he’s capable of by playing at the Serie A level.
The Granata have been linked with Pirola for some time, but now they’ve finally gotten it over the line and he can begin work on this new opportunity in his career, and he is very much looking forward to doing so.
“It’s finally official,” Pirola wrote. “I’m very happy and excited to start my new adventure here. Forza Salernitana!”
