Inter have slapped a €20 million price tag on young midfielder Cesare Casadei in response to interest from Chelsea, and have also insisted on a buyback clause being inserted in any deal.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have made their stance perfectly clear to the Premier League giants that the 19-year-old is not available for cheap.
Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Casadei, a player who they have been monitoring through the season just gone, and they are ready to make him a major target.
However, for their part, the Nerazzurri would want to cash in on a sale of the 19-year-old, whereas the Blues are only ready to offer about €7 million at the moment.
Moreover, the real sticking point that could make a deal impossible is Inter’s insistence that a buyback option be included as they have no intention of losing control of his future permanently, whilst the Blues would not be interested in such an arrangement.
