Inter-owned defender Lorenzo Pirola has complete the move from Salernitana on a season-long loan move with an option to buy.

This is confirmed on the Campanian club’s official site, where they announce the 20-year-old’s arrival, and they will have an option to make the deal permanent one whilst the Nerazzurri will have an immediate counter-option.

Pirola spent the past two seasons on loan at Monza, who he helped win promotion to Serie A, but the Lombards declined their option to sign him on a permanent basis at the beginning of the current season.

Monza had still been interested in signing the 20-year-old at a lower fee, but it is instead Salernitana who have won the race for his signature.

Pirola will join as part of their project to focus on young Italian talent, and will look to try and help them stay in Serie A in their second season back in the top flight.
