Young Inter defender Fabio Cortinovis has made the switch to Serie C side Latina on a permanent deal.

This is confirmed by the Lazio-based club’s official site, who announce that the 20-year-old has been signed on a permanent basis for the upcoming season.

Cortinovis joined Inter’s youth sector from that of Virtus Bergamo during the summer of 2016, spending six years playing for the Nerazzurri at various youth levels.

Last season, the 20-year-old defender helped the Nerazzurri’s Primavera team to win the Under-19 championship, and like many of the players from that team, he has been looking to take his first steps into the senior professional game after proving himself at youth level.

Latina are the team to have won the chase for Cortinovis’s signature, and the Lazio-based team have brought him in on a permanent basis rather than on loan as he will begin his career in the senior game in Serie A next season.
