Paris Saint-Germain are struggling to move forward with their pursuit of Inter defender Milan Skriniar due to not wanting to over budget for the summer transfer window as well as being wary of Financial Fair Play restrictions.

This according to French news outlet L’Equipe, who report that the French champions have set a budget for themselves of €80 million for the summer transfer window and must complete sales of fringe players if they are to make a major signing like that of Skriniar.

PSG have already spent much of the €80 million budget allocated by President Nasser Al Khlaifi, between the €35 million paid to Sporting CP to make the loan of Nuno Mendes permanent, the €41 million initial fee paid to Porto for midfielder Vitinha, and the €10 million for RB Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele.

Accordingly, whilst Skriniar remains a player they are very much keen on, the Parisians would have to offload some players before they can consider moving for him, with FFP restrictions on signing players without lightening their wage bill also a factor.
