Fiorentina have set a deadline of August 6 for a sale of defender Nikola Milenkovic, and if he does not leave by that point they will not listen to offers for him.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the clock is ticking for Inter or Juventus to sign the 24-year-old as La Viola will only wait so long to see if an offer emerges.

Inter have been tracking Milenkovic for much of the summer, with the Serbian international seen alternatively as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar if the Slovakian leaves, or as a signing to bolster the defensive depth.

The price tag for Milenkovic looks to be around €15 million, and the Serb is also a target for Juventus.

However, Fiorentina have no intention of waiting until the last days of the summer transfer window to see if the Nerazzurri or the Bianconeri step up their pursuit, and the Tuscans will only wait another week.
