Inter are starting to think about a move for Eintracht Frankfurt wingback Filip Kostic again after Juventus look to have pulled out of the race for the 29-year-old.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, who report that the Nerazzurri have made contacts in the past few hours regarding a possible move for the €15 million-rated Kostic whilst the Bianconeri’s interest has cooled.
Kostic has long been a player on Inter’s radar, and they could yet decide to make a move for the Serb to reinforce at wingback alongside Robin Gosens following the departure of Ivan Perisic at the beginning of the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri have been active over the last day in talks for Kostic’s signature according to La Stampa, whereas Juventus’s interest in signing him has cooled off significantly.
In the event that Inter decided to prioritize signing Kostic as their last major arrival of the summer, it would likely mean that one more defender would not be signed, and that coach Simone Inzaghi would then reshuffle with back three with the wide and central options that he already has.
