Inter fans made their view clear regarding the situation of defender Milan Skriniar with their reaction to his entrance onto the pitch during yesterday’s friendly match against Lyon.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old’s substitute appearance was accompanied by a loud ovation by the fans, who certainly do not wish to see him sold.

Skriniar made his first appearance in preseason yesterday, with the Slovakian having been recovering from a muscle problem picked up on international duty in June whilst transfer speculation also swirled around him.

The prospect of a big money sale of Skriniar is still not entirely gone with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea still targeting him, but the balance appears to have shifted especially after the Nerazzurri’s failure to land Bremer from Torino.

For their part, the fans were perfectly clear on their stance, as their loudest response of the night in yesterday’s match was to Skriniar’s entrance onto the pitch to play the final thirty minutes of the friendly match.

After a summer spent wondering whether they would ever see the Slovakian in an Inter shirt again, the Nerazzurri fans showed the strength of their desire to see him stay this summer.
