Newly-arrived Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana considers playing for the Nerazzurri to be a source of pride.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the Cameroonian gave his thoughts on representing one of Italy’s and Europe’s most prestigious clubs and also didn’t hide the ambition to win trophies next season, particularly the Scudetto.

Onana has arrived at Inter having already represented one of Europe’s great clubs and former European Cup and Champions League winners Ajax for several season, and he has found a new shirt with a similar history.

The 26-year-old is happy to have the trust of a club like Inter put in him, and feels that wearing the Nerazzurri means something special for him at this point in his career.

“I’m very happy to be here, Inter is a great club,” he said. “Wearing this shirt is a source of pride for me, it’s  a magnificent feeling.”

And regarding the Serie A title race next season, Onana did not hide the ambition to go all the way next season after having missed out the last time around, stating that :We have an obligation to win, always. With the great team that we have, we’ll try to do it.”
