Inter are set to hold a meeting with the agent of forward Alexis Sanchez in the next couple of days as his exit from the club gets closer and closer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 33-year-old’s agent Federico Felicevich will discuss the termination of his contract by mutual consent with severance pay as Marseille begins to emerge as a viable destination for him.

Sanchez remains an Inter player as he has not yet found an agreement on a departure despite the club having made clear that he is not in the plans for next season.

However, with Felicevich’s visit scheduled soon it may not be long before the final agreement is found, and the Nerazzurri could finally agree on a severance payment of around €4 million to the player, which would cost the club €7-8 million gross but would see them save on his sizable wages.

Sanchez has been reluctant to leave before finding the right club for next season, but now looks to be getting closer and closer to Marseille, who are interested but must first offload forwards from their squad before moving.
