Inter have set the asking price for midfielder Cesare Casadei at no less than €20 million if Chelsea do not agree to including a buyback clause.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri would expect a significant fee for the 19-year-old if no buyback clause is included in the deal.

Chelsea have been admirers of Casadei for some time, with the midfielder having been on their radar since 2018 when they scouted him as a teenager.

The midfielder signed a contract with Inter on his 16th birthday, with the player and his family preferring the Nerazurri to the Blues as well as Juventus and Atalanta as the right club for him to grow in.

Now, Casadei is showing clear signs that he is ready to take his first steps into the senior game following outstanding performances with Inter’s Primavera team, and this has not gone unnoticed as a number of clubs are interested in his signature.

Chelsea are foremost among the 19-year-old’s suitors and have made their most recent push to sign him in the past couple days, but the Nerazzurri have been clear that if the Premier League want to take control of his future it will cost no less than €20 million.
