Inter are set to agree the terms of severance payment with forward Alexis Sanchez in a meeting with his agent this afternoon.

This according to the only edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Chilean’s salary for the Ligue 1 team will be dependent on the size of the severance payment that he receives from the Nerazzurri.

Sanchez is ready to agree on a move to Marseille, but before this can happen he will have to formally agree a termination of his contract with Inter which currently has one more season left on it.

The French club will make up the part of the Chilean’s wages not covered by the severance payment that he receives from the Nerazzurri, and so this will be the basis of negotiations between Inter and his agent Fernando Felicevich in today’s meeting.

The Nerazzurri have been pushing to agree a departure for Sanchez for some time, and will welcome this development.
