Juventus could move to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic ahead of Inter if they can offload Daniele Rugani this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Bianconeri will be ready to step up their pursuit of the Inter-linked defender, but only if Rugani departs first.

Milenkovic has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for much of the summer, particularly as a possible replacement should Milan Skriniar leave the club, whilst the Bianconeri may not be done bolstering their defense by signing Torino’s Bremer and could still move for the 24-year-old.

However, a move for Milenkovic would not be feasible unless Rugani is on his way, and so it will depend on what happens with the 28-year-old.

Empoli would be interested in bringing back Rugani this summer, but the player’s €3 million net per season wages would represent a significant obstacle for the Tuscans.
