Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic was not used in his team’s friendly clash against Turkish giants Galatasaray yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who note that the 24-year-old was not used for the match amid transfer links to Inter.

Milenkovic remains a player on Inter’s radar for next season, although it is not clear whether they would have any intention of moving for him unless Milan Skriniar is to be sold.

Juventus are also interested in the Serbian international, and it is perhaps for this reason that he was not risked in yesterday’s friendly match in case a sale is on the way.

Meanwhile, the likes of new signings Dodo, Luka Jovic, Pierluigi Gollini, and Rolando Mandragora were also not used by Viola coach Vincenzo Italiano in the match, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Turkish side, with the Tuscans’ preseason plans not yet coming fully into focus.
